‘Big Bang Theory’ tops weekly ratings; ‘Walking Dead’ scores

Sheldon Cooper was No. 1 by a wide margin last week. “The Big Bang Theory” on CBS topped the weekly ratings for Central Florida.

Here are the week’s top programs for our TV market (national numbers come out Tuesday):

1. “The Big Bang Theory,” CBS, 284,700 viewers

2. “Person of Interest,” CBS, 213,500

3. “The Bachelor: After the Final Rose,” ABC, 185,400

4. “Elementary,” CBS, 185,100

5. “American Idol” Wednesday, Fox, 178,900

6. “Two and a Half Men,” CBS, 178,100

7. “The Walking Dead,” AMC, 175,100

8. “American Idol” Thursday, Fox, 171,700

9. “Survivor,” CBS, 171,300

10. “The Bachelor,” ABC, 167,500

“The Bible,” the History miniseries, ranked No. 13 with 139,300 viewers. It placed behind reruns of CBS’ “NCIS” with 147,400 viewers and “NCIS: Los Angeles” with 145,300.

The top programs in the 18-to-49 age group were: “The Big Bang Theory,” “The Walking Dead,” “Two and a Half Men,” Fox’s “Family Guy,” Fox’s “Hell’s Kitchen,” “Survivor,” Fox’s “The Simpsons,” “American Idol” Wednesday, “Person of Interest” and Fox’s “The Following.”  

The top sports program for the week was the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series at Bristol Motor Speedway on Fox with 138,700 viewers Sunday afternoon.  Kasey Kahne won the Food City 500 in Tennessee. The post-race program had 121,300 viewers, and the pre-race show drew 60,200. Rounding out the top five in sports were the Magic-Lakers game on Fox Sports Florida with 58,900 viewers and the NCAA Tournament selection show on CBS with 51,500.
